Situated on the eastern end of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, the Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area is the perfect place to disconnect from the outside world. Located 6,300 feet above sea level, Fool Hollow is the perfect spot for fishing, swimming, boating and bird watching. The campground features sites for both RVs and campers and is the perfect retreat for anyone looking to enjoy the natural splendor of Arizona.
Rock Island State Park – Rock Island, Tennessee
Nestled in central Tennessee near the Caney Fork River Gorge, Rock Island is a year-round oasis for anyone who loves to be on the river. With whitewater rafting to kayaking, the Gorge is the perfect spot for outdoor activities. The state park is also a great place to go hiking, swimming, and fishing. The Tennessee State Park commission is in charge of the maintenance and upkeep of 10 cabins and 60 campsites on the property that can be used all year.
Joshua Tree National Park – Joshua Tree, California
Joshua trees cover the 800,000 acres of the national park. The wildly twisted branches sit atop prickly blossoms and their silhouettes are best viewed during sunrise and sunset. Joshua Tree National Park is known for its rock climbing, mountain biking and hiking. The park boasts nine campgrounds and has hundreds of sites scattered across the grounds.
